When you decide to develop a website, many thoughts take over on where to start, how to design your website, which content you want to include, and many more. It is crucial to start with a foundational layout for your website to establish a basis to add content and information. Whether your website is about professional development, like mine, a personal brand, or promoting a business or product, it is essential to have a plan, and a wireframe is a great way to start.
A wireframe for a website is a blueprint framework of what you want your website to be. Below, I will provide an example of what my wireframe for this website is, but before I do, there are many parts to the wireframe. It is a black and white sketch of the overall outline of your website with boxes with "X" lines through it for pictures, boxes with play buttons for videos, scribbles for text, and long rectangle boxes for titles and headlines.

For my wireframe, it was important to me to have a clear heading at the top with my name and possibly a small description or catchphrase, which is evident with the large, long rectangle at the top. I saw a layout online on a website that I liked with small boxes horizontally across the screen as the navigation bar, so that is what I put next, and the scribbles are the different tabs that I planned to include in my website. Next, I wanted a picture to be laid out that would catch the eye of others large on the screen, which is evident with the large box I included with an "X" through it to indicate there will be a picture there. Further down my page, I planned to have smaller headings than the one on the very top of the page with short descriptions, pictures, and a call to action, or CTA, on one of the topics. At the bottom of my wireframe and page, I will put a short description of myself or a statement to contact me. In the very small picture boxes, I plan to include icons of social media sites such as Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn and link my social media sites. I also plan to have my email to contact directly through there in this section.
That is the overview of my wireframe blueprint for this website, and if you would like to contact me directly with any further questions or information, feel free to do so below, or in the form at the bottom of my home page, here!
